Hello / Good evening everyone!
First of all, I would like to apologize in advance, indeed, English is not my main language, I go through Google Translate in order to write you this topic on the forum. So it may be that the formulas are not correct with the translation, I just hope that the message and the idea that I want to submit to you will be understood!
1/ Why such a proposal?
So I take the liberty of writing this topic because like many of the players remaining in the game, we can all notice the same thing: the game is dying, there are fewer and fewer players on the new servers that open and, by snowball effect, a server with few players does not encourage "new" players to jump on it.
Since BiteFight is primarily a multiplayer game, the game experience also becomes much less interesting and enjoyable if there is no opponent to fight with!
2/ The idea of International Server
That's why on this day of November 1, 2022, I offer you this idea: Why not try to convince GameForge to create a next international server for us, rather than setting up servers for us in certain communities that don't will have almost no players on it?!
3/ Explanations and arguments
This proposal does not come to me like that obviously, to be completely frank, the idea comes to me from GameForge itself! For some time, I have been able to come across advertisements for another GameForge game that I will allow myself to quote: Ikariam, announcing the opening of international servers (which are currently 3 in number if I do not say stupidity). And for some time now, I have been monitoring the number of active players on each of them: no matter when I look, the number of players connected at time "T" varies between 300 and 500 depending on the server. Okay, that number doesn't make other online games shy today, that's for sure, but still it's a pretty good score for a browser game that's nearly fifteen years old and was suffering the same problem that BiteFight is currently suffering from.
(I took the liberty of using the same terms on the message that I was able to post on the French section of the forum: https://forum.bitefight.gameforge.com/forum/thread/9459-suggestion-serveur-international/ ?postID=317270#post317270 )
Ikariam was, like BiteFight, a game that was dying from the lack of activity on the various servers. Having been able to discuss with some of the players, it was the players themselves, from different countries, who came together to create a common project. GameForge then offered these international servers and today the action is there every day!
(I made a great summary, obviously the process was longer than it seems, but at least it allows you to have an idea of the thing)
I took the liberty of taking a tour of the different servers that were able to open on October 28, 2022 (I may have forgotten some):

Total: 1205 players
In other words, the servers are almost empty after 3-4 days of opening and unfortunately the lack of activity will mean that the players present will not stay long...
Imagine if, instead of us being spread out, we were 1205 players on the same server?!
Sure, it'll never get past the servers of the day, but for a browser game today, I think it's pretty good! And the activity would make players stay longer! (And at the same time, would surely put a little more money!) In other words, everything is beneficial for everyone!
4/ To set up
Things will surely need to be put in place, but why not build on what was put in place on their other game?
In the game :
- The possibility of choosing the language of his game, which would also allow you to put a small flag next to the names of players in order to know which country he comes from.
- Try to put rules in common.. I don't know what the rules are for seals for example, but we would have to come to an agreement so that the rules at this level are accepted by all! (this is the first example that came to mind, the T&Cs are the same for everyone it seems to me)
- Making the choice of server speed: I think, ideally, players should have the opportunity to give their opinions for the choice of server speed!
Personally, I was thinking of a x1 or even x2 but let the votes do the talking! (a section will be created on the discord to argue the choice)
The players :
- As players we will also have to put things in place, invent events, make wars between countries, why not even keep a ranking at this level! (these are just guesses)
A section on the future discord will be created in order to allow everyone to put their ideas while keeping a summary of the ideas proposed!
5/ Constraints
I can understand that taking a character from scratch can be difficult for some. Taking the example of ikariam, the enthusiasm was such at the opening of the first "Pangaia" that the players let themselves be carried away by the atmosphere of the server and dared to take the step of creating a new account.
Today, wars are fought between countries, the players themselves bring the game to life via this new server.
6/ Closing words
I think for a lot of us this game has, at some point, been a part of our lives and for the most part, if we come back, it's mainly for nostalgia.
The GameForge will unfortunately not do much for the game in the current situation.
But, as players, as a community having had the opportunity to play this game for several years for some, don't you think we can try to shake things up?
Let's try to motivate ourselves, together, one last time to breathe new life into the game!
This is a game of vampires versus werewolves, like any game where we play against other players, there can be tensions that are created... Let's put that aside and come together to try to bring this project to fruition!
I also take the liberty of asking the forum moderators if they can talk about this subject on their respective community(ies).
Would it also be possible to post a message in the "News" section in game so that as many people as possible can see the message and give their opinions!
A vote is set up so that everyone can give their opinion on this subject.
Before I conclude, I want to thank in advance all the players who will take the time to read, as well as all those who will give their opinion and join the project!
Thanks also to the moderators who will join the game!
LET'S TRY, TOGETHER, TO RECREATE FUN ON THIS GAME!!!
(I will allow myself, following this message but still on the same post, to announce the progress of this project if it sees an evolution)
