We’ve gathered some of the most common community questions and answered them below.
⚔️ Let’s dive in!
*❓ Q: Do units of the same type share a single health pool, or is each unit calculated individually?*
💬 A: Each unit type has its own combined health pool. For example, a group of 10 Skeletons will have a total of 40 HP (10 [unit count] × 4 [health per unit]), regardless of the enemy setup.
*❓ Q: How are speed ties resolved?*
💬 A: When speeds are tied, Rearguard units act first.
If two units share both the same speed and position, the player's unit attacks first.
If two targets share the same speed and position, the group with the higher unit count will be targeted first.
*❓ Q: Is a unit group's attack value based on the starting unit count or the remaining units?*
💬 A: Damage scales with the current unit count. Whenever damage equal to a single unit’s HP is dealt, that unit dies and the group’s damage decreases accordingly.
Example:
If a group of 10 Skeletons (90 ATK / 120 HP) is reduced to 1 HP, the group still has 1 Skeleton remaining (3 ATK / 1 HP) and can attack on its next turn.
*❓ Q: How does rounding work? If a unit is left with 0.5 HP, does it remain alive and capable of attacking?*
💬 A: Damage values are always rounded up.
For example, an attack dealing 18.5 damage will be rounded to 19.
A unit with 1 HP remaining can still attack with its full individual attack value.
*❓ Q: Does excess damage carry over to another group?*
💬 A: No. Unless explicitly stated in a passive ability, damage does not spill over to additional targets.
*❓ Q: How exactly does the Zombie resurrection work?*
💬 A: Once the combined HP pool reaches 0, the Zombie passive triggers and revives the group with its original unit count at 1 HP per unit.
Example:
A group of 30 Zombies (60 ATK / 210 HP) will revive as 30 Zombies (60 ATK / 30 HP).
This passive always restores the original starting unit count, regardless of how many zombies were alive when the ability triggered.
*❓ Q: Are bonuses additive or multiplicative?*
💬 A: Bonuses are multiplicative.
Example:
A group of 10 Tier 1 units attacking Bloated Corpses in turn 1 while at least one Revenant is alive:
Total damage = (Unit Count × Unit Attack) × Ability Bonuses × Type Modifier
= ( 10 × 8 ) × 1.25 [Tier 1 bonus] × 0.85 [Revenant bonus] × 0.5 [Type modifier]
= 42.5 → 43
*❓ Q: About Tier 6 (T6) speed reduction:*
* Does it affect everyone?
* Can speed drop below 1?
* Does it persist after death?
💬 A:
* The debuff affects enemy groups that directly attack the T6 unit group.
* The debuff stacks.
* It persists even after the T6 unit group is destroyed.
* Speed can drop below 1. This does not prevent a unit from attacking; instead, lower (or even negative) speed makes the unit act later and increases its priority as a target.
*❓ Q: On tie-breaking, if both position and speed are equal, who attacks first?*
💬 A: Player units attack first. If both are enemy units, the higher-tier unit attacks first.
*❓ Q: Can AoE abilities hit allied units?*
💬 A: No. Your follower abilities never damage your own units.
🛡️ They are loyal, after all!
*❓ Q: Can the same aura apply multiple times?*
💬 A: Yes. Effects such as the Tier 6 speed debuff, Undead Cultist damage buff, Bone Giant effects, and Tier 5 buffs can stack.
*❓ Q: About Tier 5 (T5) – Necromancer / Feral Shaman*
* Does their ability affect all units?
* Does it scale with the number of T5 units?
* Does the bonus persist after death?
💬 A:
* The ability only affects the T5’s group.
* The 10% bonus stacks over time but does not scale with unit count.
* The bonus disappears if the T5 group dies.
*❓ Q: When does the T6 speed debuff trigger?*
💬 A: Only when the T6 group itself is directly attacked. Triggered abilities do not count as attacks.
*❓ Q: If an attack kills only part of a Zombie group, do the revived zombies form a new group?*
💬 A: No. The ability triggers only once the entire group is wiped out, once per combat, and always restores the original unit count.
Any excess damage does not carry over to the revived group, as the passive activates only after the attack is fully resolved.
*❓ Q: Does the Undead Cultist’s 10% bonus scale with unit count?*
💬 A: No. It is a flat bonus.
*❓ Q: How is the Wraith’s ability calculated? Does it carry over between rounds?*
💬 A: The bonus is recalculated on every attack and does not carry over.
The ability increases damage by +50% for each instance where the enemy unit count is double the Wraith group's count.
Example:
If 2 Wraiths attack 32 Tier 2 units:
Enemy count (32) vs Wraith count (2) → multiple doubling instances
Result: +1500% damage bonus
Total damage multiplier:
100% + 1500% = 1600% → 16× multiplier
Final calculation:
(2 × 7) × 16 × 0.5 = 112 damage
*❓ Q: Does the number of Broodmothers affect how many Spiderlings are spawned? What are their stats?*
💬 A: Broodmothers always spawn 10 Spiderlings, regardless of how many survive.
🕷️ Spiderling stats:
* Attack: 1
* Health: 1
* Speed: 6
* Position: Rearguard
* Type: Monstrosity
