I am fed up with GameForge shenanigans as well. For now I sent complain just to them. I will drag this further if there isn't a response from the company.
Hello,
I would like to know what's going on with your game Bitefight lately. It used to be a fun and engaging game, but now it seems like everything is broken and unmanaged.
Let me explain in more detail.
Bitefight is a highly competitive game where two factions, vampires and werewolves, fight for dominance on each server. Some players pay for in-game goods to progress faster, while others don't, but everything used to be fairly balanced, until the broken faction events started.
Roughly once a month, there's a three day long event that provides benefits to vampires, followed a few weeks later by the same event for werewolves. That was fine, and it kept things fair. However, the problem is that these events are not activated on time, and when delays happen, only vampires get compensated, often with extras, while werewolves get nothing at all.
Every time this happens, vampires receive:
1. Compensation for the lost event time (so the event still runs the full 3 days)
2. Extra time added on top of the event duration (so event for vampires last longer than 3 days)
3. Another event running in parallel, boosting the benefits even more
When the same delay happens to werewolves, they get:
1. Nothing, just a shortened event with no compensation or extras
The most recent vampire event was even worse. It provided the maximum possible bonuses, bonuses that normally appear only twice a year, during Christmas and New Year. And yet, only vampires received these massive benefits.
To make this clearer: A werewolf who pays for in-game extras might take around two months to gain, let's say, 50 levels. A vampire reached those same 50 levels in a single day thanks to the last event.
I understand that mistakes happen, but this has been going on for way too long. There are numerous threads on the Bitefight forums with players complaining, and yet nothing changes. For about half the players, the game experience is completely ruined, while the other half keeps benefiting. And this cycle repeats again and again.
At this point, when paying players take one step forward, and then due to event mismanagement are pushed two steps back, it completely destroys the game experience, no matter how you try to justify it.
So I would like to know, what's going on? Why is there not a single community manager stepping in for months?
Respectfully,
Mario Holbe
